About us

Everyday Athlete is Scotland’s leading facility for functional fitness and martial arts.

 

Located in the Heart of Glasgow,  we provide a unique training environment geared towards helping you achieve your health and fitness goals.

At Everyday Athlete you won’t find rows of stationary bikes and weight machines. Instead you will find pull-up bars, barbells, rowers, kettlebells and wide open space for moving your body the way it is supposed to be moved.

 

We focus on improving functional movements that are necessary and common in your daily activities.

 

We also specialise in Muay Thai boxing and kids fitness.

 

With our constantly varied programming, you will never get bored. We rarely do the same workouts, but if we do, it is to test progress.

 

You will never have to program your own workouts or spend hours in the gym. Instead, each day a workout will be provided for you that is scalable to suit your fitness level.

Our staff are experienced, innovative, dedicated practitioners of physical culture.

Classes

Conditioning

Conditioning - EDA's Signature high intensity functional fitness class that combines the key Cardio elements of running, rowing, skiing and cycling alongside functional resistance training to give you a serious workout experience that will make you sweat, burn hundreds of calories, and increase your strength.

I-Lift

Gain muscle, strength and athleticism.  This class focuses primarily of lifting weights in order to improve the size, definition and strength of muscle.  Whether you are preparing for a movie role that requires it or simply like this type of workout and physique then this class is for you.

Muay Thai

The national sport of Thailand and one epic way to keep fit.  Muay Thai is known as the Science of 8 limbs as you will box, knee, kick and elbow within a session.

There are three options when it comes to Muay Thai at EDA

  • Muay Thai Open all Levels
    Learn the basics of Muay Thai through pad hitting and working on the bags

  • Muay Thai Intermediates
    Learn more in depth about the sport and how to spar. 

  • F.C Muay Thai
    The ultimate Muay Thai fitness experience combining pad hitting and circuits for one hell of a workout

HIIT

40 Mins of High Intensity Interval Training, constantly varied - each session is designed to boost your metabolism and turn you into a fat burning machine.

Perfect for Lunchtimes or just after work to get your sweat on.

Yoga

A class for any age or level designed to maintain balance and strength to further your training and enhance performance.

Created specifically for those looking to enhance their mobility using restorative stretching and soft-tissue work.

KIDS CLASSES

Focused around Muay Thai Boxing, the class introduces kids to functional movements.  Combining Muay Thai on the pads with bodyweight exercises and games  encouraging everyone to do their best.
